RJ9 F&F coupling required

I need to extend the handpiece cable on my Meade scope. The cable has RJ9 plugs on both ends. I have a 2nd cable to extend it with but both cables have male ends.

Does anyone know where I can get a female to female coupling? I've tried ebay. I did track one down from an American company but for a small $3 part they wanted $54 postage :screwy:

If I can't find a coupling I'll have to cut the plugs and solder the wires. That's no real problem but I didn't want to make it permanent.

Be careful that the one you buy is straight through, there are crossover versions.

Thanks Phil but the RJ45 plug is larger than the RJ9

look in the telephone section at jaycar or dick smith. or am I thinking of RJ11...? regards, Alan

Thanks Alan but yeah they are RJ11.

I did find a longer cable with RJ9 plugs on ebay, so hopefully it will do the job.
