John Seach of NSW has added another nova to his growing tally, well done! This was put up on CBAT's Transient Objects Confirmation Page (TOCP) as PNV J18365700-2855420 and was quickly confirmed by the FRODOspec spectrograph on the Liverpool Telescope as a bright FeII-type classical nova.

Latest magnitude quoted was 5.3 (by K Itagaki) which is in naked-eye territory! Cloudy here but will try for a shot over the next few days.

Hi All

Between clouds I was able to visually observe the nova at mag 6.0 on March 16.75UT.

Very easy to spot in the finder scope. It's in a clear field, at least visually. 45 x 30 secs with the 8" F4, slightly cropped.

Great shot Kevin. Going to put this one on the observing list.
