I saw this earlier today but assumed someone else would have noticed it first? But I did a quick scan of todays topics and didn't notice it? If I missed it, my bad!
Anyway, Mike made LPOD today (7th september)! Congrats and keep up the good work! :D (there is even a link to iceinspace at the bottom of the page).

Ripper image Mike. This is what gets me going. The differentiation between the mountains and mare is incredible. Well done being recognised for it! :)

Many thanks guys.
It's interesting that chuck often opts to do some extra processing on an image to highlight the features of interest he wants to talk about. In the case of my image, he raised the levels considerably.
Thanks Ving, I agree.. I sent him several others but I guess that one had the features he wanted to talk about that day.
so chuck played with your image before putting it up on LPOD?
I looked at it and thought, gee! mikes gone a bit heavy on teh processing!

yeh, he does it to a lot of images.. sometimes he does make them look aesthetically yuk, but as I said, it's usually to highlight a feature or something he wants to point out.
i just did a side by side... admittedly he bought out more detail in teh darker areas, but as you say "asthetically yuck" (except you didnt put the "c" in yuck). it seems a shame that he doesnt link tp the original.
eh! the price of fame huh! :)
