Mobile Observatory and Moon Phase Pro are available free from the amazon app store until November 29. There are a ton of non astronomy apps available for free as well.

This is not a recommendation for either of the apps as I have not used them.

They can be found here http://www.amazon.com.au/gp/r.html?R=2KK21Y3HLNUZI&C=WNR0ZFONIYYJ&H=CIINI0I845GXXR48YPEV6HWNE2KA&T=C&U=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com.au%2F gp%2Fsearch%2Fref%3Dpe_997162_17603 5422_pe_button%2F%3Frh%3Di%253Amobi le-apps%252Cn%253A2544160051%26hidden-keywords%3DB00EPG591K%257CB004SBX11 2%257CB008K38DXK%257CB0094N0CXE%257 CB008TQ16OG%257CB00GMTXS7U%257CB00H FZX1LS%257CB00JB7NCXU%257CB009R5GR1 K%257CB004SDSSFY%257CB00MBEF1G6%257 CB007FJFDXS%257CB00CY9AA6E%257CB00F CMQRJE%257CB00D6UQNLG%257CB00K7797F A%257CB00GJV99XI%257CB008RJFRTK%257 CB0055UQFD6%257CB00AUXZJAS%257CB005 LHO274%257CB004EFYZ1C%257CB00DDXJRJ G%257CB0064SHI9I%257CB007IWHLZA%257 CB00ESCJG1U%257CB0097HSS4M%257CB00J AKMBNK%257CB00CT2P6VA%257CB00GO3P8E K%257CB00KDN343O%257CB00OTLXC3S%257 CB006BFZ0N0%257CB00BFBSV72%257CB009 3TOFQE%257CB007TN6WI0%257CB00DGYZRG 4%257CB00795P4EG%257CB004OZOTSQ%257 CB004DM0UII%26ie%3DUTF8

I have used SkEye for Android for night time viewing and I have found the red light overlay very useful. The brightness depends on the phone and I have found HTC phones can be adjusted dimmer than a Samsung.
