It is a very interesting read Peter but it is actually a recent reprint (2010)

"Scanned copy" with no quality guaranty doesnt make me think its worth much more than $3.30. The originals probably in a library here somewhere? would be a good read. Seems an odd thing for an ebayer to scan? or maybe they duck down to the library and scan if there is any interest?

It appears that there are a number of fold-out pages that weren't opened and scanned.

Thanks for the link. I suppose some kudos to the eBay seller for entreprenurial
nous but it makes you wonder what else is held in that free archive. In fact, to make the point, I just did a search using Gallileo as the sole search term and what a cornucopia of material popped up.

Peter, there are numerous interesting titles on that site.
Just search for words like Astronomy, Telescopes, Binary Stars, Spectrometry, Herschel etc.

Obviously most of the books are quite old but still very interesting.

I download the Epub versions for my Sony EReader. Epub files are Small compared to the PDF ones.

Michael.
