Time to get serious............see attachment

Weather has been very bad on the east coast...has given me plenty of time to tweak my new monster. My partner thinks Im such a poindexter ....but that's her problem.....going up to Branxton this weekend to give it it's first run in earnest. Will keep you all posted

.......guess I should update my signature

cheers

Welcome to the club, "Tom" dooly. Hope you last longer in the 'dob club' than a few other 'traitors' that have turned to the 'Dark Side'. :P :poke:
Just kidding, guys.:poke::D :D :D
Now all you want is some fine, clear weather....:D L.

Dooly is that the eq platform sold by Bintel? I havent seen any reports on this one and would be interested to know how it performs.

You will love the dob set up, I have just put little wheels on mine and its so easy to move in and out, it is easier to "set up" er roll outside, than it is to set up the 80mm on an eq mount and it gets used more than all the other scopes because of ease of use..

Yup it's the Johnsonian sold by Bintel

Havent had a chance to use it in anger yet. Will let everyone know how it goes.

Am looking forward to using this setup (when the weather finally clears) as it is much easier to setup and operate than my old 200mm EQ5 setup despite it's size....well easier in the loungeroom anyway!! Jeez I should really change my sig.......
