Reading..
Real Black holes or not, those observed objects are still massive and super-dense..
.. BH's for all practical purposes.

Adam Dorfman' comment:

"This title is extremely misleading and dishonest. “There is no escape from a black hole in classical theory, but quantum theory enables energy and information to escape.” he said. This simply means that black holes are different then previously described. He did not say, black holes do not exist at all. (how do you even infer this?) Further he suggests that gravity should be consider into the formula before re-defining the characteristics of black holes... This is the important information and yet you give it no value in your article.?! Second, the line that "Most physicists foolhardy enough to write a paper claiming that “there are no black holes” — at least not in the sense we usually imagine — would probably be dismissed as cranks." shows just how unscientific nature magazine has become. (and even perhaps how much they have significantly contributed to slowing down global scientific progress and diluted the quality of dialogue) Instead of looking at the solutions provided, this dangerously ignorant author, only cares about the name of the scientist and for no reason, other than brand name, violently opposes any other. Authority is respected for the wrong reasons. Why does it matter who’s opinion it is? Consider the language from start to finish and give merit from a reasonable perspective. Do the work yourself, instead of overly relying on any site and authors."

Quite so.
