Here's an interesting read..............

Researchers at the Stanford University announced on Wednesday that they have created the first-ever working carbon nanotube computer.

A little more about the announcement here -

It is only a 1kHz one instruction set computer (OISC) as a proof of concept.
Though it is Turing complete (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_machine), it certainly won't be breaking any speed records.

Progress on carbon nanotubes has been comparatively slow since they
were discovered 22 years ago and many researchers had switched to
researching one-atom thick carbon sheets which they called graphene.
