Could any of you suggest ideas how describing how to customize dob design & fabrication? I want to design, debug, & draw up specs for a side-by-side dob using scopes ranging from 4" on the left and 6" to 7" on the right. One scope would have a dedicated ultra-block in the optical train while using the other scope for non-filtered observing. Parallel scope observing with my present Giro alt-az system takes too much time with alignment and balance. Thanks, Dana in S Africa

I have found aligning parallel scopes on an Alt-Az mount difficult, too (I'm trying that with the WO EzyTouch). I suppose a nifty accessory like the ADM Max Guider (http://admaccessories.com/products/MAX_Guider_Arrows.jpg) would make it a whole different ball game.

I guess that with side-by-side Dobs you'd still need a way of adjusting their relative aim, since it changes with collimation.

Nice Mak, BTW  ;)

Cheers
Steffen.
