Hi all,
Just saw this alert.
Mag 12 possible supernova in M74. This will be a great visual target in most telescopes and a show stopper galaxy for imagers.
PSN J01364816+1545310, CBAT TOCP discovered 2013/07/25.800 by Lick Observatory Supernova Search
Found in M74 at R.A. = 01h36m48s.16, Decl. = +15°45'31".0
Located 93" east and 135" south of the center of M74
Mag 12.4:7/25, Type unknown (References: AAVSO special notice 368; SN 2003gd, 2002ap)
