:sadeyes: I hear you , but on the bright side when they finially do they will be 1/2 the price they are now :lol: .
I have a great sony DSLR and notice this kind of thing as well , and it sux , all the time as well .

Even though its really all about marketing, it looks great. Nice looking brass case and Zenit optics - functional nostalgia and much nicer than plastic.
As a comment, I didn't think that the Petzval ever really went away - it seems to have been used as the basis for all sorts of cine designs, as well as some modern classics - NP101, FSQ106 etc
