Hi all, I'm keen to update the firmware on my SynScan handset but I seem to have misplaced the RJ12-serial cable used for connecting the handset to the computer.
I think this is what I need: http://www.optcorp.com/opt-rs232-cable-synscan-ms2016-25ft.html
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? preferably from Australia?
try Jaycar
You can get a rs232 to rj adaptor then just use a standard rj cable, that's what's shown in your link

Cool thanks Niko.
So like this?: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=YT6044
I can't seem to find an RS232 to RJ adapter on their site but I'll pop in store when I have a chance.
Thanks.

Jaycar had like 4 variants when I got mine some months ago. DON'T go cheap - you'll regret it! I paid $45 for mine.

Thanks guys, got it working with a cable and a DB9-RJ adapter from Jaycar.
Now just need clear skies to try out the new firmware!
