I am selling this EQ2 mount.

An interested buyer contacted me asking me the maximum weight this can handle? He said he has a 6" Newtonian with Binoviewers.

Can anyone help me?

I think that is too much weight. I use an EQ-2 with a 4.5" f8 reflector, and it needs a small bar extension with the existing weight to balance properly. I would guess that he/she really needs to look to at least an EQ-3. According to my Orion manual, maximum load "about 10 lbs" for the EQ-2

EQ2.. I wouldn't load it with more than 2kg (camera + lens)

For EQ3, 6" is too much.. it will hold it and won't break under the load, but... it will wobble a lot.

Ouch! Harsh Bojan :) Even Bintel sell the EQ 3-2 with 6" F5 reflectors on them. I believe at least one version has steel tripod legs and a nominal rating of 20 lbs. Of course YMMV, and 6" reflectors could easily add up to quite a weight with accessories etc.
