Hi,

I think I have stuffed something.

I was playing with the Atik last night out with it as the ST4 guider....

Now, I have put PHD back to ASCOM and connected it to the scope as PC direct like I have always done.

BUT: Now the PHD "learns" in West then East but NOW goes straight to guiding and doesnt even attempt to clear backlash or even train in N/S??????? Plus, the Red line is now flat and doesnt pulse or move at all in the graph?

I have tracking on in the handset and EQMOD looks fine.....

What have I done?

Any help?

Cheers

Chris

FALSE Alarm,

Seems I had the AUTO/NORTH/SOUTH switch in the PHD graph screen set to OFF????

I think it set it this way when I had in camera ST4 guiding on, seems it didnt put it back to Auto when I changed back to ASCOM.

Phew, glad I found it.

As you were.......;)

Cheers

Chris

When calibrating if the star doesn't move enough in DEC PHD will automatically disable guiding in DEC. You'll have to set it back again in the settings (brain button).

Hi Marc,

I found that after I played with the Atik as an ST4 guider, the Auto/N/S/Off setting went to OFF, which is what caused this.

Andrew just likes sticking the boot in....:)

Would I do that to you?

If I somehow make it to Lostock, I look forward to saying "hey", buddy.

Same mate, I am sure a beer or two wouldn't be out of the question ;)

Hope you can make it.
