A mate of mine is about to retire to the road and wants to rekindle his old love of astronomy. He will be space-poor (though time-rich) so is looking at ultra-light dobs. Being fully equipped with ten thumbs and lacking the necessary tools, building one is not feasible. He came across this site http://www.hubbleoptics.com/UL16.html and asked me if I'd heard of them, which I haven't.

Has anyone heard anything about this manufacturer? Alternatively, who else makes similar instruments? He wants Goto and tracking. PM me if you like.

thanks,
David

Would be pretty difficult if not impossible to fit a Servocat I'm afraid.

They seem to have a Goto System and Wireless DSC

not sure which scopes it can be fitted to.

Ah yes its the Scitech system - looks like a squeeze but a bargain installation cost for $395 and $1500 for the system.
