Hi all.
Looking for some input in terms of a pros n cons discussion about the G-Star EX (http://www.myastroshop.com.au/guides/gstar.htm) versus the DMK21AF04 (http://www.1394imaging.com/en/products/cameras/firewire_mono/dmk21af04/overview/) firewire webcam.
Steve Massey has written a very good and comprehensive guide on the G-Star (in the link above), and you get the full kit (including RGB filters and carry case) for AU$795. The DMK costs about that (US$490) for the monochrome camera alone.
For the G-Star you'd need a video capture card of some sort, and for the DMK you'd need a firewire port.
In terms of sensitivity, framerate, resolution, pixel/chip/image size, which is better?
Other thoughts?
Thanks
