C130J Hercules transport aircraft will perform a flare drop over the bay near St Kilda this Sunday 24 February.
This event will start at about 8pm with a test pass (to verify no boats are in the area), followed by a second pass to dispense up to 240 flares in 10 seconds from an altitude of approximately 300 metres.
