Hi guys,

I want an ED80 scope and was wondering what is the difference between them all? I'm interested in this Celestron ED80 scope someguy has for sale right now. Comparing the Celestron ED80's and the other known brands such as orion, skywatcher, saxon etc any different?

Thanks

AFAIK the Celestron one is a different make, but the Synta, Skywatcher, Saxon, Orion are all the same except for the paint. The Celestron is probably inferior. Have a read of this review:

There is also more reviews on CN iirc.

AFAIK the lens is the same, just different tube and focuser. Not worth paying more for the Celestron.

If you want it for AP, go the Orion/skywatcher etc as it has a crayford focuser, whilst the celestron has an r&p .
